In the undersea village of Sui-no-Sato, Shinju was born and raised to become a geomancer; to wield the magicks of the earth. Uncontent with the path their life was being set upon, however, Shinju shirked all geomancy-related duties, and eventually ran away from the village without a word to anyone but their closest friend. From the port town of Kugane, Shinju caught a trade ship to Vylbrand, landing on the docks of Limsa Lominsa to start a new life.Shinju soon travelled to Ul'dah for a year or so, where they would eventually catch wind of a different type of magic--astromancy, the magic of the stars. An art that originated in Sharlayan, and one that Shinju had little hope of learning while being unable to secure passage to the Northern Empty. But in the same breath, more was revealed: a small group of scholars were teaching the art in the city of Ishgard.Three years were spent lugging books in the cold between judgemental Elezen eyes, but they were three years well-spent. Shinju was obsessed with astrology, and loved studying the constellations, their connections with the Twelve and the Heavens over which they rule, as well as how to attune one's aether to the stars to wield healing magicks.Shinju now lives in the Black Shroud as a retainer to Velria Ljaris, a mercenary who he met towards the end of his studies in Ishgard. The two are practically inseparable.

But more than anything, they're a character I enjoy doing content with and gearing on the side, and just playing the game with in general.

If you just happen to find me standing around somewhere, there's about a 75% chance I'm not actually busy. (Just keep in mind there's a chance I am busy. Or at least tired.)I only do serious content on healers with Shinju (AST/SGE), but I have pictomancer levelled and find it fun as well.I'm more than fine with ERP as long as you're 21+.
